Had this one for a little while. Loved the strike and got it for a more than fair (IMHO) price. Bidding very light. Curious as to comments and grading opinions.

Looks like it may have had a very light cleaning in the past, probably doesn't affect the grade any more, Can't tell the Snow is it either a 3 or a 4a? If the Snow 4a then WOW, I'm seeing the telltale die crack at 10:30 on the reverse from the wreath to the rim denticles, Can't really tell on Liberty it's not well focused enough to see it sharply, but it looks possibly doubled. The 4 has a look of a damaged punch like Snow 3 but the die crack isn't on the Snow 3, so 4? Great rim crumbling/cuds.

I'd grade it at AU55 straight or MS62 details.

No LIBERTY doubling - I wish. So you don't think this coin could grade straight? Fields and devices are pretty much pristine with only a few minor tics. Mint luster remaining in the lowest parts of the devices. I don't see any sign of rub on the coin. Curious as to your AU55 thinking, westcoin. Thanks

Nice CN example. The strike on these is usually mushy (hence why they changed composition later that year).

I say MS63, might get a 64 out of it.

This will go for TPG, eventually. We'll see what they say. Thanks for the opinions.
