Not every coin can be rare & flashy. This here PD has seen some serious use. How would you grade it, and how do you think PCGS saw it? Pics are faithful (except that green after-tint that happens whenever I dumb down my pics to 300k).

I think that most of the flatness to the hair detail on the obverse is due to strike weakness since the reverse wing detail doesn't appear to show any wear on the high points, but the reverse also seems to exhibit strike weakness in other areas and Lack of luster. I will guess that PCGS gave this a grade of AU-50.

I could see AU55, but not higher.

I'm with Ty2020b on this one - I have it at 50 but would not be surprised to see it in a 53 holder.

I'm going with AU50. eye appeal and luster not as strong as I would like to see on a 53

All of the "27 issues are undervalued in my opinion considering the mintages. Xf-45 is only 1 grade below AU-50 so this could have gone either way. Still a nice coin for any collection. Congrats!
