Green Stuff On 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent

Aurelius New Member United States 42 Posts	Posted 09/14/2023 10:48 pm I came across this 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent in my grandmother's collection. I'm not sure of its value, but I am troubled by the verdigris spots on it. Should I leave it as is, or should I attempt to restore it with Verdi-Care? I would like to keep this coin in the Dansco US Type album in which it is currently housed, but I have read that verdigris can spread to other coins. Coinfrog Bedrock of the Community United States 81268 Posts	Posted 09/15/2023 09:36 am In this condition I don't think it could hurt to use Verdi-Care, but even if you'e successful, the color of the surface beneath the spots will almost certainly differ from the surrounding area.
