Depending on the size, it's either a 10 or 20 Cash coin from China.

It's a Chinese Empire 10 cash (KM/Y# 10); the denomination is the "+" at 8 o'clock in the picture there. ("+" is Chinese ten. Chinese twenty is "+=") The year is indicated by the two characters at 12 o'clock and three o'clock - you have to look it up in the "cyclical date" table in Krause. I read it as 1907. That leaves the provincial mintmark, inside the large dot smack in the centre. This one's still not clear enough to make out. I have two of these, with different mintmarks. Mine are dated 1906. This first is Hupeh mint; the central mark is the Chinese character "o" (looks like a face and the letter B side by side) The second otherwise identical coin is from the Szechuan mint: the character "chuan", three large vertical strokes sort of like a Roman numeral III. Without a closer look at the central dot, the best match I can find is Kiangnan province. They issued lots of varieties in 1907 (KM/Y# 10k.5 through to 10k.9a) and the mintmark shape isn't an impossible match. The variations are all on the reverse, such as the shape of the Dragon, the number of flames around the pearl and other details.

I think you may be correct about the szechuan province. After careful examination I have to go with either Y#10t or Y#20t.1. everything matches up pretty much except for 1 or 2 of the characters.

The Chinese be read from right to left in ancientry and twenty is "+ =". But the Chinese be read from left to right now, and twenty is "= +". two is "=", ten is "+".
