My untrained eyes agree that there seem to be slight differences. Have you considered that it may be because they were minted at different mints?

Comparing one from a year to another is not going to bring exact results depending on when the master hubs were retooled. See if you can take it to a coin shop and have a sigma test and a magnet slide test. The Chinese are getting good at weights, thicknesses etc. I admit the left one looks off to me as well. The pics though are slightly tilted in the view. If you know how to use a graphics program, get a COINfacts photo of that same date and do an transparent overlay. These typically will show a fake. I did this one many years ago and posted it: http://goccf.com/t/119357

The 1880 has the look of a lot of the Chinese fakes and seems off to me.

Thank you, yes it seem of, it was bought from a dealer with good reputation but mistakes can be made. the chin area seems bigger. like a chunky 1921. Here is the trueview that made me buy her I don't like those photos, atleast she was cheap. If I ever need to use a dating service I will call them adding 83 to Might be wear that makes her look different or maybe a fake, or maybe the die variations are so large, I don't know much of the topic

Can you image a side-by-side picture of the rims?

Possibly Dearborn but the face still looks bigger but might fool the eye. BH like this?

The 80-s is a better strike so possibly a tad higher relief which may alter appearance

The reeding on the rims is telling a tale. I don't like the looks of the coin on the bottom. I would need to investigate further but the reeding is not what I would want to see.

Compare that to the reeding in the pic I posted at the link above. It says a lot. This is likely an older fake since in recent years they have "corrected" the reeds not being correct. I have 3 rolls of them.

Thanks Earle42. I'll differ to your skills at Counterfeit Detection. You've done a lot more homework than I.
