Hi everyone, wanted your opinion. Bought this coin, then recently have been wondering if the holder is genuine. I know the coin is real, 100%. I think it is a 2014 holder, everything seems right. Just the font maybe should be bold, I am not sure? Hologram sticker is spot on, with numbers 1-4 around shield. Looks sealed intact.

Also, do you think that is a die crack on the obverse, 11 o' clock position?

Nice looking Gold 2 1/2! The holder looks 100% genuine in my eyes & barcode scans properly.

Lovely coin! I know so little about US gold coinage. Is that a die crack coming off of the L in Liberty?

Yes, at 11 o clock. How do die cracks impact the value of the coin? What does die crack even mean, end of life for the die they used?

Die cracks occur for two reasons. First that all metal has a crystalline structure. When you, for example, pour molten metal into a mold, as it cools, in cools into it's given crystal form (which varies depending on the metal or alloy being used. As dies are continually used to squish metal into the a coin, it can begin to fracture along the grain of the crystalline structure of the metal.

Damaged dies are replaced, but the interval at which they are checked can vary greatly. Some dies are check regularly, such as dies for proof coins. Dies for business strikes, which are expected to last for a specific length of time may be monitored at much longer intervals.Over time, the amount of damage that woiuld require a die replacement might vary quite a bit.

Looks good to me. Not seeing anything that would make me think the holder is fake.

Nice example!

I have a pair of Ikes in that version of the holder. The 1976-D, I and II. The images of the labels show those dimples that hold them in place.

Thank you everyone, I actually found the coin was auctioned 7 years ago through heritage and everything looks right. Thank you for your help. Sold for $1,500 back then, wonder what it can be worth now.
