@frank, because you have posted so many duplicate photos, I suspect that you actually have a bunch of different views, but have chosen to name each picture by the same filename. Please give each picture a unique name because otherwise you will just overwrite with the same picture. Thx.

Those new pics definitely help to understand what you have going on there. Are you sure that this isn't just a rim bruise? I'm concerned about the metal "smeared" up on the rim.

I see an ordinary 1968 D dime with damage to the rim.
