Hello! First post on this site, happy to be here! I believe what we're seeing are vastly deteriorated dies; radial flow lines, orange peel texture, and soft dies &/or die devouring die wear. Here's mine:   |

It's incredible how consistent these are, the crack in that last 2000 is a nice one too. Does anyone have one that looks proper? I wonder how many were struck per year per die.

At least, there doesn't seem to be any struck through cigar debris.  |
