I picked this coin up in a small collection of older foreign coins. I own a PCGS graded cap & rays that I bought many years ago from a forum member because I liked the design. That's about the extent of my knowledge. My research indicates the counterstamp is from the Philippines. The coin weighs 27.1 grams on my digital scale that's accurate to .1 grams. Hoping to get opinions on authenticity.
From there... Early 1830's Zacatecas is certainly a typical host for the Philippines C/S. Of the Cap & Rays hosts, early 1830's Zs is probably the most common... and probably the most common overall after 1830s Lima, Peru hosts.
Counterstamp looks absolutely fine - partial, as is usual.
