it must be some kind of error, I've bounced from other sites & charts and I've seen nothing to indicate it's authentic.
6pm EST sunday the gold price usually starts moving again on the Gold Price chart.
waiting...

...it appears to have been an error/glitch of some kind, the Gold Price chart's gold price appears to be about where it should be.
i have never seen that before, anywhere.

Their web site must have had an issue as it is in agreement with other sources now.  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
