Very nice variety. Congratulations. As far as your questions- -The stage looks correct. -I agree with you on the grade as well. No separation of the bow tie but the wheat lines are separatedefined. -As far as whether this would be "details", IMHO, I've noticed that the grading services seem give a desirable variety or older coin some leeway and I'm not sure that brown area is offensive.
Maybe it was the individual grader or an older classic but I remeber one with issues that got a straight grade with pretty obvious cleaning.
Hopefully, TB with swing by and give you a more nuanced answer since he has sent a lot to PCGS.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Nice find! About trying to find a nice one, there is something about class I and V doubled dies that makes them overly susceptible to device flattening wiping out the separation. So coins just have to be pretty nice before they really jump out. But this die is really strong and shows well on your coin. While any grading questions can only lead to guesses since the TPGs are unpredictable, I'd say the reverse staining is not sufficiently impacting the coin to cause a details grade.
