2026 S Penny - Silver Proof Set - Spot On Shield

Teach Pillar of the Community United States 1255 Posts	Posted Yesterday 5:30 pm There is a small dark circle on the shield of my penny. Anyone else have this marking? I'm not returning set. Does this mark devalue the penny or make it more intriguing? Just thought I would share. Comments? Report this Post to the Staff

livingwater Pillar of the Community United States 2233 Posts	Posted Yesterday 7:41 pm If that spot is on the coin and not the plastic it hurts the value. I don't think the mint does exchanges, only returns for refund. You have 7 days from when you got it to start a return. If it were mine I'd send it back for refund and wait to see if they become available again. The mint will provide a free return label. Worst case if the mint sells out you can wait a few months and buy a set on ebay. I'd rather pay more to get a good set than have a coin with a problem, just my opinion. I got a 1776 - 2026 1 oz proof gold eagle when the were released. It had defects in the field, I sent it back for refund. Edited by livingwater Yesterday 7:50 pm Report this Post to the Staff
