I'll leave the wheat and LMC rolls to others.

However, for the normal 1971 and onward Kennedys, they most likely aren't worth much, except for the silver ones. The silver and Morgan dollars are most likely just silver, so offer her $13-$14, and maybe 10x or 11x on the silver, maybe a bit less.

looks like silver content on all 1/2 dollars from 1969 and down, the War Nickel, the Peace dollars (liberty), Morgan dollars (Silver).

Condition on those dollars will determine if there is any real value beyond silver content.

Will you be buying the whole lot, or just the silver?

The 1899 Morgan dollar is a key date if it is from Philly. Check for a mint mark under the eagle, and hope you don't find one :)

Looks like nothing special - I'd certainly pass on the LMC's. BadThad might take the UNC rolls off her!

I would offer her $20 at the most. Make it seem like she's getting a good deal

OK, buy ALL silver.

any Kennedy halves '69 and older ('64 halves are 90% AG.)

any other halves are 90% AG.

leave the wheat's.

leave the LMC's.

if you like steelies, take them.

take ALL of the liberty dollars.

ALL of the other dollars from 1921 and older ( Morgan dollars are what they are commonly called)

and all of the Franklin halves.

i would definitely offer way more than $20 because there is A LOT of silver.

i would offer around $250- $260

Get them as cheap as you can, her ignorance is your advantage. Who cares what everyoen thinks. There are a few dealers, here, let them tell you what they pay people. My point is if your only in for profit doo what the dealers do, albeit if your just a collector then pay fair. FYI not trying to offend any dealers.

The simple fact he is asking here for advice shows he is made of sterner stuff than a take-everything-you-can-get-for-free-and-run person.

Having a conscience is a good thing.

I forgot all about updating this until I just saw that someone posted another suggestion.

Fact is, this deal was done more than a month ago.

I asked her what she wanted for everything.

She said $100.

I told her that was too little and offered her $250.

She said no, and would not take more than $150.

I paid her and left smiling. Big time.

Sorted through the pennies and found some very nice keepers and some to upgrade my Lincoln Memorial BU roll set.

Stashed the silver and deposited the junk at my dump bank.

Not a bad days work I'd say.

I also ran across a small jackpot of silver after the Jimmy Buffett concert in Cincinnati on Monday night, but that's for another thread.

When people say this "1) don't really have the time" I always have to laugh at how rediculous it sounds.

If you think about it, we each decide what is important in our lives. We rank importance by how much time we allocate it. If it really important to you or your loved ones, you find the time to do it.

It sounds like whatever time you ended up devoting to this, you made out like a bandit. I'll take $300 worth of silver for $150 any day of the week.

We never know when we will be faced with decisions that demonstrate our character. IMHO you did the right thing and the benefits are far greater than the coins you bought.
