Just wondering what this coin of mine would be graded.

The damage (gouges) on both sides will hold it back, that was the 4th highest mintage of all large cents too, so there are a lot of 1852's out there.

My best guess for a 1852 Large Cent VF-30 (overall grade due to damage obverse & reverse) is worth around $35. (IMO)

Looks close to EF for detail but the gouges and the small rim bump will depress the potential value somewhat. The color looks a bit too red given the level of wear so I suspect it has been cleaned or dipped at some point. I would guess it's worth more like $20 to most potential buyers.

Looks like VF+ to me, not quite good enough to be XF. I think Jaobler is being a little pessimistic on this one, IMO the minor dings don't hold it back that much. I'm guessing you should be able to get $30 for it.

FWIW, you get better pictures from your phone than I do from my camera.

I think that's a fine looking coin, nicely toned, and the few little nicks wouldn't scare me off. Not sure about value, but I like the coin. I think vf+.

VF30 with a couple dings here and there. Nice eye appeal still :-)
