Nice coin can't see the left field too well so I'll say at least MS-65

I am going to say MS-64, the obverse looks great, but there are some marks on the reverse.

I will say it may have a shot of 65 but not comfortable saying it with these pictures. I definitely think it looks like a 64 in the pictures but it doesn't take much to bring a 65 to a 64 (or lower) on Morgans

I enlarged it and lightened it up a bit.

I's say NGC graded it at MS-65.

Sure looks like MS-65 and the strike is strong for a New Orleans Morgan. The value of this date jumps about 8X when you go from MS-64 to MS-65 so I expect NGC won't award the '65 unless the coin is very solid for the grade. They may also be hyper-aware about cleaning or "altered surface" problems. I'd say MS-65 based on these images.

There is an enormous price difference between a 64 and a 65. From what I can see, I'll say MS65

There's a point to this which I'm hoping to make concerning grading. Their grading, not your's. So far, you're all helping to support it. I'll let it run for a while yet until I get a few more responses and then see if you agree with me.

Can you tilt it 180' the left side looks dark in the photos perhaps that is concealing a luster issue that NGC saw in hand...

NGC gave it an MS63. The point I'm hoping to illustrate/make is that in my limited (2 month) experience in watching these Morgans and trying my best to grade, I've gotten the impression that NGC is more conservative in their grading than PCGS. Whereas the general concensus seems to be just the opposite. The grading all of your assigned to it seem to support that. Several even said MS65. Am I wrong in my estimation? The question to me is why does NGC seem to undergrade? I'm sure some of you more experienced graders have some opinions. But the reason I did this post was I was looking at this coin and felt surely it MUST be better than the 63 NGC gave it. Well, nuff said.

My guess would have been 64. It looks very nice for a 63 but what's the luster like? I would assume subdued luster and even then 63 seems low.
