A friend of mine brought this coin to me at the coin club meeting last night. She was concerned because the coin had no green on it when she bought it. I told her I would try to help out but no promises. I used VERDI-CARE and a very soft bristled brush. The brush was used very sparingly. Before and after. The obv needs a little more work but I think she will be happy with the results. Richard

WOW! All that verdigris was fairly young. I'm ashamed to admit that I would have not recommended VC for that ancient coin! I can't thank you enough for posting this ziggy....I learned something about my own product today. The good thing is that the ReAcT2â„¢ will now protect the surfaces and the verdigris should not reappear with proper storage. Do you mind if I use your pictures for marketing purposes? They are GREAT pictures!

I took the liberty of putting these next to each other so it's easier to see the results.

I have a 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent that is developing the crud and was wondering a couple of things. Does the VC keep the verdigris from returning? Second, instead of purchasing an entire bottle for just one coin I was wondering... do coin dealers perform this service for a nominal fee?

ncs may be able to restore coins in a similar manner, but it will be cheaper to do it yourself with verdicare

OK thanks for the info! Edit: I see the first question was already answered earlier, missed that the first time through this. I read it is a lot less expensive to buy it on ebay (6.95 and free shipping) so I will be picking one of those up!

I was wondering why wizard coin supply doesn't offer the small size bottle so people can "try" it out before buying the 2oz. bottle? John1

Because the small bottle is so new to the marketplace. They will eventually carry it, we're working on it.
