Does CCCS do error notes? They do error coins and regular banknotes, it's not much of a stretch to think they might do this.

Quote: CCCS DOES certify banknotes and they are the Canadian leaders in certifying varieties (on coinage anyway). I see no reason why Louis wouldn't do notes as well Do they certify errors though? I didn't think they did, however I don't use CCCS for grading my notes. I think PMG will grade error notes, although many Canadian bank note collectors (including myself) think they are way to generous with their grading.

Unfortunately, considering the condition of your note, I really doubt the premium would be anywhere close to what the note shown in the auction listing is priced at.
While the catalog value of a note with a missing serial number is $700 UNC, if you find a buyer who wants to take a chance with yours, might pay $50. A lot of notes were faked, so much so that a comment appears in the Charlton price guide.
I hope I'm wrong but the only way to get it confirmed is to have it authenticated and getting it slabbed might cost you more than the note is worth. Have a couple of local dealers or collectors look at it for you before forking out any cash.
Good luck, I hope it's the real deal.

I think you missed one of the most important parts of the OP's original question. Quoted Below. Quote: The bill has no serial number and no red 1867-1967 number where the serial number usually is. We are all aware of the 1867-1967 serial numbered notes, the note that is being discussed literally has no serial number.
