PEG LEG...

Anyone else who owns one, check the "R" in LIBERTY... Would seem like a very LDS.

Looks like a severe polishing.

Die state would not cause the hard, chisel edge to the letter. This is something that can only be caused by die polishing removing details - just like the designer's initials on the reverse.

Peaceman;

I have 3 of these so far.

Another excellent die marker for the 82P No FG is the base of the 1 in the date. The serif has been polished off.

I can see it on your pic also.

Nice pics!

Neither the obverse or reverse look LDS to me. Also, none of the several examples that I have show any evidence of the FG. Nothing.

This coin shows remnants of the FG , if you look closely enough.

Also, the field where the FG sits should be perfectly smooth. This coin has al kinds of little scrapes and scratches.

I suspect that this coin was tampered with somewhere along the way to resemble a 1982 P NO FG.

Sorry,
Bill
