I like the coin, so I will raise the ante to MS62/63 I do have a coin or two that have that color of toning, though it could have been re-toned some time ago....I would expect to see some gold colors and blue as well. let us know what you get...Thanks for showing one of the beautiful commemorative's out there...
The new photos are I think more revealing. There is definite rub with hairline scratches in the fields confirming an AU grade IMO. The hairlines especially in the left obverse field are severe enough to probably get a "cleaned" judgment from NGC. The coin does have quite a bit of remaining luster consistent with a high AU grade and the color looks more natural in the new images. It will be very interesting to see how NGC calls it.
There are some patches of hairlines(light wiping, not a harsh cleaning) but the combination of flashy luster and eye appealing toning make this a better-than-average AU IMO. It may not slab problem-free but it sure would look nice in a commemorative album $400 is right at Numismedia EF40 so I would say you did good.
