Forgive my ignorance but is this a near date? I searched through a hundred of old ones I had laying around and this is the only one that seemed close. Also have 2 1979 S but I guess those are not worth much

I'm not an expert on these but I don't think so. I think the 9's would be a little closer to the rim if it were. wait for more opinions though.

IMO looks like a near date/wide rim. Can you get a little clearer and a close-up of the date and rim?

my opinion was bouncing back and forth. at first I thought it was, but then decided against it. I think before I would make a final judgement, there should be clearer and closer pictures like you mentioned. it's hard to tell.

This coin is NOT a wide rim/near date variety.

Is-This-A-SBA-Near-Date?

The coin above has too much space between the 1 and the rim and the T in Liberty is a major pick up point- T is nearly touching rim of wide rim, not so in above picture.

Rest in Peace

hmm strange its loops on the 9s are fatter than the other coins. So I guess it would not even be worth it to sell my 1979 S because I was going to include those with this widerim sale

Is-This-A-SBA-Near-Date?

Top is normal, bottom wide rim. Only one I have found so far, but the wife has a couple I need to take a closer look at.
