I've found NGC and PCGS graded pieces in a similar (or worse) condition to the ICG piece that still made 65. These were both found on Heritage as well: Report this Post to the Staff
Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6406 Posts	Posted 02/03/2013 4:51 pm No doubt the ICG coin is a nice one. It may well cross at MS-65 to PCGS but in that case you will have paid too much based on Heritage history for that coin/grade/TPG combination. If it were to cross at PCGS MS-66 you will come out way ahead. Once you have it in hand you will be able to decide whether it satisfies; if not, you can use the return privilege. If you keep it you will likely never be sorry. It is a beautiful piece to have in your collection. Report this Post to the Staff

The large gold coins get a break in grading, due to their tendancy to acquire marks very easily being such a soft and heavy coin. I agree 66 is unlikely, and $5800 is too much to risk.
