One that comes to mind is from France. There was a hundred-year gap (including two world wars with resultant economic collapses), so the denomination was altered to keep up with inflation, but the design remained much the same.
Coin#1: 5 francs, 1871-1878. 25 grams .900 fine silver. Circulated.
Coin#2: 50 francs, 1974-1980. 30 grams .900 fine silver. NCLT but issued at face value.
