Nothing too unusual here, as a half million of this issue were struck (at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, actually). But a pleasing design in what appears to be high mint state condition.

Very nice coin. I love the Panama designs. I think they are highly underrated.

Always a favorite design. A few years back I walked in a local coin shop, someone had just sold them a roll of Balboas, all 1947, and a roll of half Balboas, 1953-1963 mixed. The shop put them out for melt value plus $5.00 each. I bought the entire lot. They were blazing UNCs, every single one. Blew my coin budget for months !

There was a time that I was collecting depictions of Liberty on coins of the world. Naturally, this was one of my favorites.
