1952 Lincoln REV Cud? - Coin Community Forum

gormang Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 12/07/2007 5:52 pm Hello all, I'm new to looking for errors and came across this as what I think may be a Cud. Jorgy Valued Member United States 145 Posts	Posted 12/07/2007 6:37 pm Those are die chips I believe they are called and are common on wheat cents. A Cud extends onto the coin from the rim like the coin below. At least that is what I have been told. Report this Post to the Staff
bonham3 Valued Member United States 346 Posts	Posted 12/07/2007 8:06 pm Hi Here are a few pics. of the same coin with chips that may be similar to yours. There is also a die crack too. (middle arrow I believe) on first photo. It is a 1955-P. One of a few 50's I have like that. They seem to be pretty common during that decade on wheat cents. The reason I say little to no is because there are a few folks that find them interesting and may give a lttle extra for them ,,but in the big picture they carry no added value .
