peterk New Member Australia 2 Posts	Posted 06/09/2015 07:54 am I have been given some old coins from that we're my grandpas by mum as she has no idea about coins, neither do I so I have signed up here. It's actually quite addictive once you start reading about them. I am stuck on the dots on the 1919/20 pennies. I read you may not always be able to see them but can also id double dot etc. by the writing on the back. Anyone able to help please? Also is this what the call a broken N penny? Thanks, Pete. Basil Pillar of the Community Australia 1042 Posts	Posted 06/10/2015 7:16 pm Welcome Peter,I'm also have a thing for 1919 & 1920 pennies,i found a 1919 Double Dot,the variety where the top dot really stands out,in my change when doing a paper run/route back in the early 1960's and its been a 'thing' to collect them ever since. There's some information on the 1920 double dot and dot above at http://www.thesandpit.net/index.php...920dat_penny; if you search these forums you should also find some information on diagnostics for some of the others. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of readily available literature to help. If you post some larger images of each individual coin though that would help. Report this Post to the Staff
