http://wfla.com/2015/08/19/breaking...er-sinkhole/Welcome to my neighborhood. My coins are packed and my dogs are ready for a mad dash if the police at the foot of my driveway tell us to evacuate. it is less than 100 yards from my property. I will keep you posted

In Florida, sinkholes are to be expected over the long term (much like San Francisco would anticipate eventual earthquakes). The whole region is underlain by limestone, and solution sinkholes (or collapse sinkholes over solution cavities) are common. A geological phenomena owing to a very high water table and limestone bedrock. Here is a map produced by the USGS:
