2000 New Hampshire Quarter Stamping Error?

bluereded New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 05/12/2016 09:35 am This quarter I found recently has a clearly defined ridge around it near the perimeter. It seems to follow the outside of the words. I tried searching for similar errors but couldn't find anything. Please help me identify it. Report this Post to the Staff

bluereded New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 05/13/2016 08:00 am The reeding seems normal. I do not have a sensitive enough scale to check the weight. As for a bezel, mi not sure. The ridge seems to head toward the center of the coin in the absence of text where as a bezel should be a perfect circle with no variation. Report this Post to the Staff
coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/13/2016 1:07 pm Thanks for the extra images. There was an appearance to me of what look like a ring around your coin. It does have a bit of finning on the obverse rim. The Obverse there is an interesting line between the 'U' on UNITED and the 'L' on LIBERTY. Not sure what that is though? I wondered if it were a clash, but it doesn't appear as so: Looks like it maybe more of an issue with Die Deterioration? Report this Post to the Staff
