Can someone tell me more information about this 1973 penny that I think looks off from usual pennies. How do I identify the markings on the penny, what is its value?

Can you tell us what exactly you see wrong? I only see a normal penny with a light MAD (mis-aligned die).

Looks like a MAD. Not enough to add any value. Worth a little more than one cent, due to the copper value.

What about other markings on the penny, what do they mean and what should I look out for regarding more valuable pennies?

A MAD (Misaligned Die) but not enough to make it worth over face value. Pretty much a normal coin. Only worth a little more in Copper melt value.

I do see some weakness on the AME area on the reverse. So it would have been a collectable MAD because the devices would have fallen over the edge of the coin if the MAD was in a different location. I would save it for now.
