I believe this is a Republic 10 Cash. I am trying to find out what would cause this missing edge around it. Is this an error coin

Please respond if you know anything about this coin. Thanks so much!

It might help to get a weight, diameter and reverse picture.
Could have passed through the hands of a nicker.
Experts should be along shortly.
Rest in Peace

You can tell it has been ground down, it is uneven onto the fields in spots. Possibly to fit into a bezel made for a different size coin, like a 50c piece.
