Yep! A penny is placed inside a leather belt and hammered with a rubber mallet, making it larger.
Worth a penny, but to me, worth nothing.

Two signs it is a " Texas Cent".
It is slightly larger than a regular cent.
The copper cladding has been removed.
Nice Novelty coin but has no value.
