1983 P Dime Off Center - Coin Community Forum

Spence Moderator United States 34477 Posts	Posted 03/25/2020 2:12 pm @mk, since there is a shift on only one side of the coin, it is best described as mal- (or mis-) aligned die (MAD). From a value standpoint, I think that the design features need to start falling off the edge before you would expect to get more than face value for it. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/25/2020 4:32 pm It is when the devices fall over the edge of the coin, that MAD coins are needing to be saved: When the one die is so far out of alignment that on the opposite side you see weakness on the devices, then it is a saveable coin like the one I posted.
