I have a fondness for the 1875 and 6 business strike Twenty Cent Pieces. I also collect my birth year coins from 1953, including an unopened mint set, a variety of proof coins, and UNC red seal $2 bills from each series. I am also working on completing a collection of each coin denomination, without regard to mint mark, from 1853, currently owning one of each coin from the Half Cent through the gold eagle of that year. I just need the double eagle to complete it. Maybe then I will start working on the various mint marks.

I guess I overshot, here.....two years and type. Sorry.

I find myself gravitating toward war coinage, particularly Civil War (1861-1865) and WII (1941-1945) since these wars seemed to affect U.S. coinage the most. I love a good War Nickel and have a growing group of civil war tokens.
