I just checked VV with no match. Yours looks like a DDO. Maybe they will want to see it in hand? John1

yes it does look like a DDO, but it was not 'double struck' - it is the die that was engraved with the doubling on it, hence the reference "doubled die'

Where do you guys see any doubling...all I see is MDD everywhere including the S mint mark. There is some series doubling on the T to LIBERTY.

What I see here is believe that we have a combination of a MD and an Hub MD. VV from long time do not upgrade theirs site for other denomination then penny and Cents. The theology Dr. to busy with others things.
IMHO this coin must be analyze in hand by an expert on this field which will come with the an clear conclusion on. Many back and for on the halves but seem not to be took in consideration.
For me this coin has MD Hub and MD.

Did you check with DDO-015? Check to see if the mintmark location is the same or not? Take images of the ones on V.V to see if they hub doubling matches up. (Yours is a bit minor) But the shots like the one on this site, might be more helpful to see if it is a match, or not? http://www.varietyvista.com/12%20Ke...1SDDO015.htm02

This half dollar would not be the 71S DDO-015, or anything else in the CONECA Listings. Attached here is a photo of the 71S DDO-015 in my collection...you can see it doesn't match your photo. As I said, I think you just have MDD.

@Atrox: No one say it is 71S DDO-015. was just say is similar with that DDO. I wrote what I see on the coin and again COOP was right to say is an minor hub doubling which go unseen by many collectors. Your DDO-015 it is a common one and do not fit with this coin except the position of doubling. Also ATRIX: please if you can to show more photos of the coin you say will be well appreciate. Thanks.

Yes, it's very similar to DDO-015 when looking at the I in IN and the T in LIBERTY. I just noticed it also exhibits the same pitting on the bar of the R in LIBERTY, which would be more of a conclusive die marker, yes? I couldn't get a good pic of it but it looks exactly like the pitting in the VV example.
