amyj1970 New Member United States 15 Posts	Posted 10/22/2023 07:44 am I have a mess of a quarter here and while parts look like Cuds, how many Cuds are possible on any coin? The front, to me, looks like Cuds. The problem is, on the back - you see the rim exposed... so could someone do this to a coin? Can you help me (yet again tyty) to understand what did/may have happened to this coin? Thanks!! Report this Post to the Staff

I've gone through a few thousand quarters this month and have seen apparent hammered/run over/damaged items. On a quarter, could someone actually melt a quarter to make it appear this way? This is just severe damage. did it happen at the mint? who know It could have happened in a parking lot somewhere . in the end, it is just damaged and not a mint error. Collecting since 1972.
