My First Silver Acquired At This Boa Location

On the spur of the moment I stopped this afternoon at a Bank of America office I don't visit too often partly because I've never been able to acquire any half dollars there. But today a teller told me that a customer recently had turned in a roll of half dollars. When she handed it to me I could tell they were in an old-fashioned wrapper (which raised my hopes).

Sure enough, I found four 50% silver Kennedy half dollars in that roll. I decided to show the teller how I recognized them. She thanked me for doing that because she wasn't familiar with silver coinage. The teller also told me the bank does not allow employees to keep coins that are worth more than face value. I half-jokingly suggested that in the future she set aside any silver half dollars she recognizes for me to later acquire.

I have added that location to list of banks I will call periodically to ask if the tellers have any half dollars.
