Everyone seems to be going crazy over any coin with a red poppy on it, so why are people not losing it over this one?:

Is the poppy not big enough or something.

This one has 10 hours to go and is at $152.50 now, with 22 bids.

So they certainly do seem to have a premium when compared to the Flying Corp and Battle of Cocos Island 50c coins from the same year. They are selling for about $20 each.

Ah it was the first year for that series (which ran from 2014 to 2016 I think) - so it's surprising that it's so expensive. Maybe the 2016 ones are as well.

Back in the day (2016) I won an auction on ebay for 10 of these red poppy Western Front 50c coins for $52.

Back in the day (2016) you could use ebay vouchers on coins and I had a voucher for $50 off any order. So I applied it on this order and therefore ended up getting 10x 2014 Western Front 50c for a grand total of $2 including delivery.

Oh, they were the days.

p.s.: Are they really selling for over $100 each these days just because there is a red poppy on them?

Could be just the red poppy. The others in that series still only selling for about $25.

Yep, the red poppy is the difference... I just sold one on ebay last week for $120 plus postage, I did pay $50 for it 4 years ago which at the time I thought was quite high, so I was happy to get that price.
