I have another question ... any idea of the value on this piece, also a family item? I remember having purchased it for my father probably 50-some years ago. I believe it's a 1923 Liberty silver dollar ... and the mint mark appears to be an S. It appears to be in very nice condition. Thank you for any information Report this Post to the Staff

Your second coin is a 1923 Peace dollar. Captured in the bezel it's worth silver melt value. The mint mark (if any) is actually on the reverse side of the coin above the legend ONE.
