Sold a quarter-ounce gold eagle and purchased 17 Morgan dollars. These ended up being about $49.96 per coin. They were in a box marked BU but it is likely that it had some sliders and all were common date. Tried to pick out the best ones in the box. Will post one a day so as to not bury other threads looking for grading. As always, I welcome your thoughts. Thanks!

I'd like it better as a 62 than a 63. The mark in front of the nose bringing it down. Probably 63 otherwise.

Are those marks in front of the nose above the field or scratches?

the obv and rev look like two different coins. most likely the coin was stored obv up for quite a while. obviously the coin cannot make MS64 with the obv scratches/marks/dings etc. not sure what caused the mark in front of the nose. I dont think its bad enough to warrant an MS62 grade especially with the reverse. I think it nets to MS63

Sel_691 - the 84(O) are typically soft struck. around the ear, eagles breast and tips of wings is where it would be seen first.
