I am aware of 2 different doubled bud variants, 2 different "spine" varients and I just recently came across this one which looks to be a doubled bud & branch. I'm not looking for confirmation of it being a doubled die as it is quite obvious, however, I am looking to see if anyone here (SPP-Ottawa, possibly) may be able to tell me if this has ever been seen or known prior to today. The site search function has come back with nothing. @johnwayn007, nice find as always. Is this also a normal spot to see minor clashes? I know the queen's hair would be on the obverse, I think I may have seen a few cents with this sort of thing on it. I should go through some more of my 1960s cents.

yes this would be a good spot to look for clashes as the bottom of the queen's chin and neck on the obverse when clashed with the reverse will show in this area, that is where the "hanging" numbers come from.
When there is a clash the outline of the queen's chin and neck usually touch above the last digit in the date causing it to look like it is hanging.

Nothing that I recall seeing before, but then again, I don't examine the coins as closely as you do!! Haha I like the photo  , I will admit my obsession with doubled dies does have me getting a little too zoom happy with my lens at times, it does show up nicely further away as well, my lens cannot go past 100x so I try to keep it between 50x to 80x but these photos are around 100x so members can see clearly. I mist be looking close to 50-80× or more with my scope as well. Even then all the modern American doubled dies need a good zoom to capture. Your lighting is much much better then mine though. Unfortunately I have no idea how to filter light with my new scope, there is a feature for exposure I have been aying around with it goes like +1 or -1 or +4/5 and stuff but I have no idea what they actually do, I can see a noticable change in lighting effects when I change the settings though. There is also 2 lighting setting 50 or 60 but not sure exactly what those do either lol.

If that was a Victorian coin, I would say it was manually touched up in the working die, rather than a DD resulting from the punch sinking the die. Not sure if they did manual repairs on working dies during the Elizabeth series.

Wrekkdd, I personally don't like my lighting at all, the software for my microscope is only available for Windows computers and I use a Macbook Pro so I have to use alternative software, the downside to this is that the auto exposure setting is the default setting and cannot be changed without the software when connected via USB to my computer, so after I take photos I have to manually adjust my exposure in the image file to match the actual color of the coin, or hook it up to an external monitor and use the remote control to shut the auto-exposure off and save images to a memory card. Bosox, I see exactly what you mean with the victorian cents, as far as I'm aware the most they did was polish the dies in the '60s, there were over 484 Million 1964 small cents minted, that would be a lot of working dies to manually have to touch up. At first, I thought it was just some die damage but doing an overlay and taking a closer look suggests that the die had an offset in an S/W direction during the first hubbing impression, then being fully hubbed with the second impression leaving a very faint offset doubled bud and branch.
