I have been hoarding 1858 large cents for a while and have close to 100 of them now and have cataloged them with Rob Turners numbers. But my problem is I have many doubles and would like to trade for the ones I need but there is not alot of people who collect them

Yes, I do. I have 24 different die pairs for 1858.
And 15 different die pairs for the overdate.

There are 73 known die pairs for 1858. For nearly 20 years now, I have been slowly working on collecting them and getting them into PCGS holders for posterity (even though PCGS does not recognize the die marriages). I have 62 of them successfully graded by PCGS.
I am doing better with the 1859 W9/8 cents, which really are over-dated 1858 cents. I have 21 out 23 of the die marriages in PCGS holders and one of the remaining two as a raw coin that I need to submit. So, I am only missing one known marriage.
The eleven 1858 and one W9/8 cents that I am missing are extraordinary scarce or even rare, the result of dies that failed very quickly in service and minted few coins.

curious on this one, 1859 9/8 , the only re-punched letter is the R in Regina, which is triple punched. tried to match it on the charts on vickycents but don't see it there?    Edited by Wade

You won't find a match on the haxby site as the haxby numbers only refer to 1859s and a wide 9 is an 1858 overdated with a 9

I published that obverse die as Die OD5 in the W9/8 die catalog contained in my 2008 book "The 1858 Cents of Provincial Canada, Volume II." All coins struck by Die OD5 have the multiple-punched R. It struck about 4% of the 1859 W9/8 cents, which makes it a little scarce, but not rare.
The book is now out of print, but can sometimes be found on the secondary market.
