New To The World Of Coins And Currency

You should post the currency in the "paper money" forum here http://goccf.com/f/8. The red label $5 and the $1 silver certificate are cool, but I doubt there is much value there. They are both quite worn. The $50 is a "star" note aka replacement note so that makes it a little special, but I'm guessing also not much value above face.

Everyone here would say yes collecting is great fun and this might be a great start to a collection If you want to sell them though, you could either bring them down to your trusted local coin shop, or if you don't have one of those then I would just put them on ebay. Many many eyeballs on ebay and everything seems to get bid right up to its real value. They take something like 13% plus there's shipping so there's always costs involved selling. In your case I would bundle all the silver dollars into a lot, all the newer half dollars and quarters into another lot, and list the 1877 and 1800 individually. Take the best pictures you can and make sure to put them in the right category.
