I don't quite understand which part represents the repunch. Can one of you guys spell it out for me?
Neat to find a proof in circulation! =)

I'm with Brand on this one. Unless it is hiding in the shadows, I do not see it, even though the mm location looks pretty good. The re-punch is counterclockwise, and I have pointed out what appears to be the RPM on the listing and I don't see it on yours. That being said, it's always cool to find an impaired proof in the wild though.

Honestly, I had no idea either, I was just looking at the mm placement and the fact that inside the bottom of the S looked the same. IMO, VV is often difficult to know exactly what to look at! I'll check the locations you (-makecents-) indicated when I get home.

Yeah, one of the drawbacks to the variety catalogs is that most of the images were taken in an age where storage space was a premium. There were also limitations in digital microscope technology at the time. So the images were a bit fuzzy to begin with, or they were shrunk down to fit the website restrictions.
Sometimes, I wonder if there are original full resolution image files stored on CDs at Wexler, CONECA, Variety Vista, etc. that could be remastered for the listings.

I don't see anything below the S, but, my eyes don't anything below the S on V.V. either. Don't know if the other two places qualify it as RPM-001

I have done an extensive search for any other pic of this RPM, all variety sites, all TPG's, the bay and so on.... There is nothing else out there, and am questioning the VV/CONECA listing. I find it hard to believe that it has no other showing anywhere, so therefore I personally am calling this listing a non-existent unless someone can prove me wrong.
