Everything about that ebay listing is a big red flag.   Errers and Varietys.

No doubt if I were seriously interested in buying that coin I would've given the ad a more critical look.

One important point: this is NOT the coin you will receive. The auction listing shows a genuine 1932-D Washington quarter in an ANACS holder, which is misleading and, in my opinion, false advertising. This is exactly the issue I reported to ebay in my message. Unfortunately, once again, nothing appears to be being done about it. |

Unfortunately, you can't keep people from doing stupid things. Probably 99% of the people that buy this junk do not even bother to READ the description, terms or fine print and go straight to the "BUY" button after seeing the picture.
it's really kinda sad when you think about it.

agreed westernsky - folks see something they want and jump on it without research - I've done that in the beginning once or twice, but I learned quickly. So hopefully the folks that bought the thing above can learn as well.

Not that it means anything, but in my opinion - "Something just ain't right". It may be the old "bait and switch" .. Time will tell.

I can't fault the victims of this scam. The blame is solely with the seller and ebay. |

Bottom line is ebay won't do one thing about it. Everything is all about money and money is what makes the world go around. It's really sad what ebay is has morphed into over the last almost 30 years now. |
