A silver quarter would weigh 6.25 g. Must be a plated quarter.

Correct me if I'm wrong. A standard clad quarter weighs 5.7. If this was a clad quarter that was plated it would would weigh more than that. This one weighs 5.6. Slightly less. Something isn't jiving....thank you for all help

Ok, well I just went and had it xrayed at a local coin shop. It came back with being nickel and copper. So I am lost.

I still think it is plated. I am not sure silver plating always registers on XRF.
