1809 Capped Bust Dime (You Vs PCGS)

I'll take a guess and say AU-55.

With the every limited knowledge I have towards this series I'll just throw this out there and see if it sticks

I have seen this greenish spot that I circles in blue in the lower right side of the reverse--it doesn't always show up clearly--only from certain angles. Is this technically verdigris? PCGS and CAC are both fine with it--given how insanely small the spot is on an already small coin, but I'm curious as to the nature of this "green" spot that looks to be different from regular toning.

such a tiny little spot. good eye, great grade and great acquisition.

although there are several contaminants that can cause verdigris, the only ones that I can see this coin being exposed to is a pvc laced holder long enough to impart that (doubt that). it could be a metallic inclusion or discoloration from minting materials since its such an early piece. the other option is being improperly stored in a high humidity environment. for me, this is the most likely cause. looking around the coin quickly, I see at least two spots that could end up like that one. a small amount condensation sitting on the surface in an airtight holder for an extended period of time.
