I'm sure people still have plenty of penny rolls, but what will be the next big thing to search for? Nickels? With penny rolls now selling for 3x their value (plus shipping!), will looking for nickel or quarter varieties become the new cent? What are your thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

Then just mix things up and buy different boxes as they are available. Focusing mostly on the vast variety of doubling with quarters (That reminds me - it's been a couple weeks since I made a penny run on my banks! They are the only currently circulating denomination where one can reasonably have hope to complete the entire circulation strike set 1938 - today at face value from bank rolls. I did it twice. If one is looking for varieties well that all depends on where you live, Philly coins are great for those so if you're on the west coast not many are to be found. That's why I mainly pick-up boxes of quarters and halves. Oh, and I'm glad I have a stockpile of boxes of cents. Report this Post to the Staff
