1997-D Jefferson Nickel / Unusual Folded Rim Fin Or Something Else?

(I'm continually amazed at what you guys see in posted pictures! ) I've been trying to study this thing to figure it out. Unscientifically (holding a pencil up to my computer screen), it does seem to be about the right length. What (to me) appears to possibly be a folded Rim Fin to the right of the metal which goes up, brings me back to perhaps a bent (moved) folded Rim Fin. That could account for the PMD you see. Either way, interesting, but nothing spectacular. As always: Thank You to everyone for taking the time to look and help me identify what's going on. Report this Post to the Staff
