I'm looking to see what everyone thinks the grade should be on this 1911-D Lincoln Cent. Thanks in advance!

Is that a minor die crack on the reverse--right wheat stalk, off the rim?

Looks to be in the VF30 range to me. Lovely coin, srs77.

I'm thinking more in line with EF, reverse wheat lines look good, obverse ear and hair line a bit worn but with this era might be from a weak strike.

Hopefully BadTad or KenKat will be by to share their thoughts....

Old cleaning, probably a wash machine as some point. It should be darker brown. From the L in LIBERTY to the IN GOD near the rim, I think that's the original color. A lot depends on how it looks in hand, pictures usually lie. Looking at the black residue around a lot of the devices, it happened decades ago and likely can be forgiven. After all, it is a circulated coin, we expect things to happen. It comes down the eye appeal.

I like it as an EF-40 straight grade, nice wheat grains
