nolawyer Pillar of the Community United States 763 Posts	Posted 04/20/2010 11:59 am I think the coin is at least XF45, but the 1914-D quarters are known to have poor strikes so I am leaning towards AU50. For example the weakly struck star at 4 o'clock on the obverse correlates with the weakness in the tip of the wing feathers on the reverse. In hand, I don't see any signs of corrosion. I have some free submissions with PCGS so I am considering submitting this coin. I'll post the results if I do. Report this Post to the Staff

nolawyer Pillar of the Community United States 763 Posts	Posted 04/20/2010 12:16 pm Nod2003, I used David Lawrence's Complete Guide to Barber quarters as a reference and many of the later dated Barber quarters at all branches had weak strikes according to him. Report this Post to the Staff
