Peace Dollar With Alp Instead Of A Mint Mark

SRKeller New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 11/02/2010 6:18 pm I have a 1922 Peace dollar with the letters A, L, and P where the mint mark should have been. I have not been able to find anything about this. Can anyone help? Report this Post to the Staff

KenKat Pillar of the Community United States 4085 Posts	Posted 11/03/2010 08:56 am Just to point out, older coins minted in Philadelphia do not have a mint mark. Newer ones have started to carry them, but this is still inconsistent. So - as others have said, you probably have a P minted coin with a counterstamp.
